Mr. Zaslow has earned a reputation for providing vigorous and aggressive representation in every aspect of family law, including Divorce, Property Distribution, Child Support, Alimony, Adoption, and complex Child Custody Actions. Mr. Zaslow excels in his ability to amicably resolve cases wherever possible, while forcefully litigating those cases where agreement cannot be reached.

Mr. Zaslow provides his family law clients with a precise blend of understanding and compassion for the emotional turmoil involved in Family Law matters, coupled with high level competence in and out of Court to achieve a successful result in every negotiation and trial. Some family law cases require a most gentle touch, and Mr. Zaslow is expert in bolstering those who need it. Other cases require a powerful stand against an aggressive spouse or opposing attorney, and Mr. Zaslow thrives on the forceful protection of his family law clients, and implementation of successful plans of action.

All family law cases require a precise understanding of the complexities of Domestic Relations Law and the intricacies of court procedures.  Mr. Zaslow brings that knowledge to every case in which he is involved. The knowledge and experience of 28 years of Family Law practice enables Mr. Zaslow to expeditiously ascertain and implement appropriate strategies to achieve the successful result sought by every client.

Mr. Zaslow is renowned in the case histories of Pennsylvania for successfully presenting one of the most important cases regarding child custody law ever heard in the state. That case, argued by Mr. Zaslow in the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, has altered child custody law in Pennsylvania and affected many thousands of cases heard in the lower courts. Not every case requires attention by the Supreme Court. No matter what level of the Court system, however, Darrell M. Zaslow, Esq. is fully prepared to provide dynamic and successful representation in the Family Courts of Pennsylvania.

REAL ESTATE and LOCAL GOVERNMENT LAW

Mr. Zaslow has represented HAPCO, the Homeowner’s Association of Philadelphia, for the last 28 years. HAPCO is the largest association of rental property owners in the state of Pennsylvania. Mr. Zaslow is also a board member and legal advisor to the Pennsylvania Residential Owner’s Association, PROA, representing real estate organizations from across the state. Mr. Zaslow is active on all levels of state and local government in matters relating to real estate law, and lectures on issues of Real Estate and Municipal Law.  Mr. Zaslow is the former Solicitor for Bensalem Township, the largest second-class township in Pennsylvania, responsible for all law matters of the government.  Mr. Zaslow is regularly consulted by local government attorneys and officials for insights and suggestions. Mr. Zaslow is just as frequently called upon to represent average citizens experiencing difficulties with local government, including representation before township boards and land development commissions, and the various zoning boards of adjustment. In numerous cases well documented in the case books and newspapers of the region, Mr. Zaslow has achieved successful results in the Courts for various neighborhood groups and associations, protecting them from over- development in their neighborhoods, when the local governing body failed to follow appropriate rules and procedures.

Mr. Zaslow’s published works include Pennsylvania Municipal LawSource, now in its 4th edition, a compilation of Pennsylvania Law impacting upon local government, zoning, and land development. Mr. Zaslow's book is consulted regularly across the state of Pennsylvania by other attorneys who benefit from Mr. Zaslow’s concise presentation of Pennsylvania law on the subject.

By appointment of the Mayor of the City of Philadelphia, and the Senate of the State of Pennsylvania, Mr. Zaslow has served on various civic boards and commissions. His most recent appoint (2004), together with 36 other attorneys with expertise in real property law, is to the Pennsylvania Joint State Government Commission Advisory Committee on Real Property Law, charged with consolidating and rewriting Pennsylvania Real Property Laws, and the State Government Advisory Subcommittee on Landlord Tenant Law. He also served by appointment to the Mayor’s Lead Paint Commission, the Philadelphia Lead Poisoning Task Force, the State of Pennsylvania Childhood Lead Poisoning Commission, and the Bensalem Township Home Rule Study Commission.

Mr. Zaslow is active in civic and community affairs, and has received commendations from both the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and the Pennsylvania Senate for his efforts in furthering good government and successful community life.

Marilyn L. Walder, Esquire.   A former elementary school teacher, Ms. Walder entered law school when the youngest of her children started second grade. In 1987, after earning a Doctor of Law Degree from Temple University, she began practicing law in the law firm established by her husband, Lewis A. Walder.

She currently concentrates her practice on Family Law including Divorce, Support, Custody, Adoption and Elder Law, offering free wills to Senior Citizens. Since she is a mother (and now a grandmother), she deals with her clients and their problems with compassion and sensitivity. She is proud of being referred to as a lawyer with heart and attempts to achieve a resolution of issues in a fair and practical manner.

Since all situations cannot be resolved through negotiation and cooperation, she is pleased and proud of the team concept practiced by the lawyers in her firm. The lawyer best suited to handle any particular situation requiring aggressive representation will join her in handling the case to achieve the best result for the client. This team effort has worked well and to the benefit of our clients.
